Mourners attack journalists in Venezuela at young girl's funeral

On the morning of Feb. 3, mourners attacked journalists covering the burial of Anabel Arguello, a Venezuelan girl killed in a skirmish in the western city of Maracaibo, reported the website NotiZulia.

When a reporter for the newspaper Versión Final and another from NotiZulia approached the family, relatives reacted violently, breaking the windshield of the journalists' car. The parents of the girl then seized the vehicle from Versión Final and attacked a photojournalist from Qué Pasa.

During the attack, two police officers were present but did nothing. The reporters reported the assault to the Secretary of Security and Public Order.
