Self-imposed coup: Peruvian President Pedro Castillo breaks the constitutional order and closes the Congress of the Republic

"During his message, Peruvian President Castillo also attacked the press calling it 'mercenary, corrupt and cynical that injures, defames and slanders with absolute licentiousness.'

Castillo 'declared in reorganization the Justice system, the Judicial Power, the Public Ministry, the National Justice Board, and the Constitutional Tribunal'.

After the closing of the Congress the Ministers of Labor, Alejandro Salas; Foreign Affairs, Cesar Landa, of Justice and Human Rights, Felix Inocente Chero Medina; of Economy and Finance, Kurt Johnny Burneo Farfan, of Environment, Wilbert Rosas, of Women, and Heidy Juarez [resigned from their posts]."
