"On Sept. 19, 2024, the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) issued Resolution 65/2024, granting precautionary measures in favor of William Stiven Rojas Rincon and his family, considering that they are in a serious and urgent situation of risk of irreparable damage to their rights in Colombia.
According to the request, the beneficiary is a journalist, community and social leader in Colombia. Due to his work, he has been receiving death threats through text messages and on social media, as well as being followed by unknown persons on motorcycles and by an unidentified vehicle. The request argues that the alleged events are presumably occurring as a direct consequence of his journalistic and social leadership activities."
