Reporters attacked in front of police station in Brazil

In front of a police station in São José do Rio Preto, São Paulo, two Brazilian journalists were attacked while attempting to interview a doctor under investigation for the death of a university student, Diário Web reports.

TV Tem’s André Modesto and Diário de Região newspaper's Guilherme Baffi were at the scene covering statements by the doctor about the death, allegedly from a bone marrow transplant error. According to Comunique-se, a man escorting the doctor pushed Modesto, kicked Baffi’s camera, and threatened both.

The São Paulo State Syndicate of Professional Journalists denounced the attack.
