"Journalist Makario Sierra was beaten by agents of the state’s Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC, for its initials in Spanish) while covering a security operation in the municipality of Juventino Rosas.
Makario Sierra, a reporter for the digital news outlet El Otro Enfoque, was transported to the community hospital suffering from injuries to his head, face, and limbs—injuries he said were inflicted by ministerial police officers using the 'butts' of their weapons.
