"Journalists in the subregion of Magdalena Medio are mourning following the murder of [Colombian] radio announcer Steven Andrés Fajardo, affiliated with the station Triunfadora Stereo, in the municipality of Puerto Triunfo.
According to reports, Fajardo was killed on the afternoon of Thursday, Nov. 21, in the town of Doradal, in the same municipality, while passing in front of a chain store in the town center.
Fajardo was intercepted by gunmen who fired their weapons at him, taking his life on the spot. Currently, authorities of Puerto Triunfo are investigating the murder. There were no known threats against him recently, although it was revealed that the 39-year-old man was the victim of an attempted murder six years ago."
